Sean Kimball is a professional composer and guitarist based in Philadelphia. He played in several bands throughout his school years, and in 2018 began his career in earnest playing guitar and singing in the progressive rock band, Glass Leaf. As Sean wrote and released two EPs and two singles with Glass Leaf, he also stepped into the producer role, debuting his first single as both a producer and composer in 2021.
While working in Glass Leaf, a love for producing and composing developed. This led Sean to partner with 455 Media in 2021 as a composer for their promotional videos. Exploring a variety of genres with 455 Media resulted in the discovery of a textured and fluid musical voice that he harnessed to create Clover, his first EP as a solo artist in 2023.
Video game soundtracks have always been an inspiration for Sean. His music throughout the years has been inspired by songs from Masayoshi Soken (Final Fantasy), Waveshaper (Furi), Chris Christodolou (Risk of Rain) and more. This inspiration fostered a dream of creating video game soundtracks that would stand among those he loved.
Building a repertoire of game soundtracks, Sean wrote an intense electronic soundtrack for Seas of Enceladus in 2023. He soon followed this with driving, generative music for Kaiju Survivor, and a dramatic, heavy metal ensemble in Alrch. In 2024, Sean delivered a dynamic soundtrack for Sailaway III, capturing the feeling of sailing the globe and battling the elements.
Outside of writing music, Sean enjoys practicing martial arts, skateboarding, cooking, and playing video games.
